The Opportunity Viewing Ability, Spirituality Beliefs and Business Performance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
Abstract
Many previous studies have been researched that various factors that can give a positive effect towards achieving business performance. However, many previous studies have seen strategy factors and the use of business methods as contextual factors that give effect towards business performance, on the other hand, not many previous studies have seen the characteristics of entrepreneurs as contextual factors. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of opportunities viewing ability and spirituality beliefs of business managers in Palembang City towards company's business performance. Using a sample of 134 respondents (response rate 89.22%), the data was tested by using SEM-PLS. The result of this study concludes that the opportunities viewing ability and the spirituality beliefs of business managers in Palembang City have a positive effect towards business performance. It shows that the higher the ability of entrepreneurs to see opportunities and the higher the level of spirituality of entrepreneurs can give a positive effect on optimal company performance achievement.
